CBD Oil drops or ‘CBD tongue drops’ provide a method to take CBD in liquid form. A quality product will consist of a carrier oil (we use Hemp Seed oil) and Cold Pressed Raw Cannabis Sativa L (Hemp) which also contains Natural Hemp Terpenes.

The most common and effective method for taking CBD oil is to take it sublingually (drops placed under the tongue). However, they can also be added to food and drinks or even applied directly to the skin.

The effect will be felt between 15 to 60 minutes after consumption. Placing CBD oil under the tongue rather than swallowing it might not seem like much of a difference, but the structure of the tongue may provide a quicker delivery.

The underside of the tongue contains a mucous membrane that can absorb CBD and transfer it to the blood more effectively than if it had to go through the gut. You can expect to feel CBD’s peak effects around 2 hours after consumption.

The optimal dosage for CBD differs from person to person and can depend on several factors including body weight, height and tolerance. We generally recommend a daily dose of around 60mg per day. 

With higher strengths you’ll find you will need to take far less drops to achieve your daily dosage, which will be more cost-effective for you.

Generally we recommend starting on 60mg per day. However, the amount of CBD to use depends on the purpose of use and your personal circumstances. We see others recommending to start at a lower dose and work your way up – however, this can lead you to believe that CBD does not work should you require a higher dose.
